When was the last time you took an afternoon nap?
A nap while the washer’s running with clothes strewn all over the floor waiting their turn.
A nap while a laundry basket is piled so high with laundry to be folded it needs to lean against the dresser.
A nap when dinner needs prepping, bathrooms need cleaning, emails need sending, bills need paying and so on and so forth.
Well, yesterday I took an afternoon nap BECAUSE. . . laundry needed doing and folding. Dinner needed prepping. Bathrooms needed cleaning. Bills needed paying and I needed to recharge to go out driving.
Two years ago that nap wouldn’t have happened, but not yesterday, or today or tomorrow. . . .
My nap lasted about an hour. Then I got up, switched out the laundry, folded half the clothes that needed folding, got ready and left for work all in 45 minutes.
We think we don’t have time when really we’re tired . . . so we can’t focus on doing what we can in the time we have.
Take an afternoon nap in the coming week. See how much better you feel and how much more you get done.
